Each year, the Stenay Beer Museum opens its doors wide for an exceptional day dedicated to brewing culture and conviviality. The Stenay Beer Museum Festival invites visitors of all ages to delve into the fascinating world of beer making, within a remarkable heritage setting.
Housed in a classified former malthouse, the Stenay Beer Museum is one of the most important in Europe dedicated to brewing. Inaugurated on April 26, 1986, at the initiative of the Stenay Archaeological Group, the museum today preserves over 55,000 objects that trace the history of beer and brewing from Antiquity to the present day.
Each year, the festival offers numerous activities for all audiences:

Stenay is a small town in the north of the Meuse, with a rich military and brewing past. The Citadel, the banks of the Meuse, and the town's architectural heritage offer a pleasant setting for visiting the museum and discovering the area.
The 2026 edition of the Stenay Beer Museum Festival took place on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 10 AM to 6 PM. This exceptional edition marked the museum's 40th anniversary, inaugurated on April 26, 1986. The program included: guided tours, workshops, demonstrations, a concert by Thonne's, a humorous reading, and collectors' stands. Free admission.
On Sunday, April 26, 2026, the Stenay Beer Museum celebrated its 40th anniversary with a festive and free day, referencing its historic inauguration date of April 26, 1986. For this exceptional edition, the festival was moved forward from its traditional early June date to coincide with the museum's opening anniversary.
From 10 AM to 6 PM, visitors could enjoy free guided tours, workshops, demonstrations, concerts, and various activities in the museum, its garden, and its tavern.
On Monday, April 27, 2026, at 5 PM, the museum inaugurated its temporary exhibition « The Beer Museum, 40 Years of Collections », visible until December 1, 2026. This exhibition highlights the daily work of managing collections and offers a retrospective of significant objects and events from the museum's last forty years.

The festival traditionally takes place on a Sunday in late spring or early summer, from 10 am to 6 pm. The date varies from year to year (first Sunday of June in 2023, 2024, and 2025; Sunday, April 26, 2026, for the museum's 40th anniversary).
By car: Stenay is located north of the Meuse, approximately 50 km north of Verdun via the D964. Free parking near the museum.
