A festive day in the heart of the Regional Natural Park

Every year in September, the Parc naturel regional des Ardennes organizes its big Fete du Parc in the exceptional setting of Lac des Vieilles-Forges, in the town of Les Mazures. This free day, open to all, is a privileged moment for discoveries, activities, and conviviality in the heart of the Ardennes forest massif. The Congress Center and the lake surroundings welcome thousands of visitors for a day dedicated to nature, local products, and sharing.

A market of local producers and the Valeurs Parc label

The market of local producers, open from 10 am to 6 pm, is one of the highlights of the day. The exhibitors, labeled Valeurs Parc naturel regional, offer products from the Ardennes region: honeys, cheeses, charcuterie, craft beers, jams, and market garden products. This market highlights the know-how and short supply chains of the territory, in an effort to promote local gastronomic heritage.

Nature and sports activities for the whole family

The Fete du Parc offers a rich program of activities for all ages. Outdoor enthusiasts can participate in canoe trips on the lake, electric all-terrain scooter rides, storytelling hikes departing from several towns (Secheval, Les Mazures, Bourg-Fidele, Sevigny-la-Foret), and Nordic walking or yoga sessions. Children can enjoy an ecological carousel, wooden games, a climbing wall, an educational farm, donkey rides, and sports modules.

Workshops, shows, and environmental awareness

Throughout the day, scientific and educational workshops allow visitors to discover the park's fauna and flora. A nature escape game, puppet shows, film screenings, and conferences complete the program. An associative village brings together local stakeholders and offers a raffle. Arrival at the Congress Center is around 12:30 pm, with the possibility of on-site catering or picnics. Advance registration is recommended for guided walks and activities.
