Bivouac Festival: Music and Nature in the Olhain Forest

The Bivouac Festival is an eco-responsible contemporary music festival that unfolds every late August in the Parc départemental d'Olhain, a forest massif located in Maisnil-lès-Ruitz, between Béthune and Lens. Created in 2022 by the associations Droit de Cité and À Gauche de la Lune, it has quickly established itself as an original and unique event in the festival landscape of the Pas-de-Calais.

An Eco and Slow Concept

Bivouac stands out for its slow festival approach. Beyond the concerts, it offers an immersive experience in nature: morning yoga, open-air cinema, treetop adventure courses, forest walks, and moments of relaxation in a green setting. The event is committed to an ecological approach with particular attention paid to waste reduction and respect for the environment.

An Audacious Program

Bivouac's programming is both current and curious, capable of bringing together contrasting universes. The festival showcases artists from the French independent and alternative scene, with names like Odezenne, Malik Djoudi, Chilla, Frànçois & The Atlas Mountains, and many discoveries. The atmosphere blends intimate concerts and electronic sets in a welcoming environment.

Parc d'Olhain: A Green Setting

The festival takes place in the Parc départemental d'Olhain, a forest site created in 1973 in the heart of the mining basin. This 60-hectare natural area, with its lakes, forest paths, and relaxation areas, offers a unique setting for a festival that invites you to slow down and reconnect with nature.
