Boogie-Swing 137 / Jazz'N Boogie in Tinténiac
Created in 2016 under the name Boogie-Swing 137 by the eponymous association, the festival became Jazz'N Boogie in 2019. Initiated in Tinténiac and Combourg, in Ille-et-Vilaine, it is now concentrated in Tinténiac at Espace Ille et Donac, a municipal hall located near the Ille-et-Rance canal and the music school.
A project driven by passion
The project was initiated by musician Gilles Blandin, a jazz and piano enthusiast, who has become one of the ambassadors of swing jazz and boogie-woogie in Brittany. As the festival's artistic director, he annually programs renowned headliners of traditional jazz, boogie-woogie, and swing, alongside young regional groups. The association is chaired by Louis Rochefort, honorary mayor of Tinténiac.
From Boogie-Swing 137 to Jazz'N Boogie
In 2019, the Boogie-Swing 137 association became Jazz'N Boogie, continuing and expanding its mission to promote jazz, blues, and swing. The festival continues to offer thematic evenings (New Orleans jazz, gypsy jazz, boogie-woogie piano) as well as free early evening concerts and swing dances with an outdoor dance floor.
A friendly gathering
The festival brings together professional and amateur musicians around a common passion for jazz and swing dance. The 11th edition will be held on June 12 and 13, 2026, at Espace Ille et Donac in Tinténiac, with a program mixing big international names in traditional jazz (Les Haricots Rouges, the oldest French jazz band still active) and gypsy jazz virtuosos (Raphaël Faÿs Quartet).
