Musical season at the Maison de la Musique de Cap'Découverte, Le Garric
Cap sur Cap' is a popular and demanding musical season organized at the Maison de la Musique de Cap'Découverte in Le Garric, Tarn. Launched in 2023 by the association Arpèges & Trémolos and the Department of Tarn, it offers concerts of French chanson, world music, and global music for all audiences, in an open and friendly setting in November and May.
Cap sur Cap' is much more than just a festival: it's a vibrant musical season that has become a must-attend event for lovers of contemporary music in the Tarn region. Born in 2023 from a joint initiative between the association Arpèges & Trémolos and the Department of Tarn, the event has quickly won over a loyal audience thanks to the quality of its programming and the warm atmosphere that prevails at each of its evenings.
The festival takes place at the Maison de la Musique de Cap'Découverte, a unique cultural facility located on the Cap'Découverte site in Le Garric (81450). This multifunctional site—which hosts leisure activities, accommodation, and cultural events—features a performance hall suitable for concerts, offering a friendly capacity that fosters proximity between artists and spectators.
The Maison de la Musique is a tool at the service of local musicians: it offers rehearsal studios, artist residency spaces, and professional stage infrastructure. Organizing the Cap sur Cap' concerts in this venue concretely showcases the results of an ambitious territorial cultural policy.
Cap sur Cap''s artistic line is characterized by its commitment to combining artistic excellence and accessibility. The seasons offer a deliberately eclectic program, mixing contemporary French chanson, world music, humor, and performing arts, to reach very different audiences.
Among the artists who have featured on the 2025-2026 season's lineup are Yannick Noah, whose stage return accompanied by Soleil Launière was a highly anticipated event. The season also hosted comedian and humorist Waly Dia, rapper Oxmo Puccino in duet with Melba, as well as singer Amandine Lourdel and the ensemble Sarabande. This diversity of styles ensures that every spectator can find something to enjoy.
Cap sur Cap' is part of a structured cultural ecosystem in the Tarn region. Part of the programming is done in co-production with the Scène Nationale d'Albi-Tarn, which makes it possible to attract nationally renowned artists while maintaining accessible prices. This collaboration illustrates the desire to create synergies between the department's cultural operators, so that artistic diffusion is not solely concentrated in large cities.
A shuttle service from Albi is offered for certain co-produced evenings (2 euros), facilitating access to the site for spectators who do not have a vehicle, and reducing the environmental impact of travel.
The association Arpèges & Trémolos is the driving force behind Cap sur Cap'. Supported by passionate volunteers and cultural professionals, it works to develop musical practice and concert diffusion in the Carmausin basin and more broadly in northern Tarn. Cap sur Cap' is its flagship project, giving national visibility to the association and allowing it to forge lasting partnerships with the territory's cultural institutions.
Ticketing is done through the Festik platform, with prices ranging from 12 euros for under 15s to 26 euros for full price for co-produced evenings. These deliberately low prices contribute to the philosophy of cultural accessibility that drives the entire project.
Le Garric is a commune in northern Tarn, near Carmaux, located in the coal basin that long defined the region's industrial identity. The Cap'Découverte site, formerly linked to mining, has been entirely converted into a leisure, nature, and cultural park. This successful redevelopment makes it a model of territorial renewal, and Cap sur Cap' helps to embed this place in the cultural imagination of Tarn.

The third season of Cap sur Cap' is underway at the Maison de la Musique de Cap'Découverte. True to its formula of mixing national artists with more intimate performances, the 2025-2026 season promises to be particularly rich.
Among the season's highlights, Yannick Noah, accompanied by Quebecois singer Soleil Launière, will perform on the Le Garric stage on March 25, 2026, at 8:30 PM. This highly anticipated concert illustrates Cap sur Cap''s ability to attract top-tier artists outside the usual circuits of large venues.
