The 36th edition of the Capbreton Jazz Festival takes place from June 29 to July 5, 2026, in the marine city of Capbreton (Landes). A week of jazz encounters in a festive and friendly atmosphere: three days of concerts at the Jardin public, jazzy terraces at partner shops, film screening, parade, picnic, and musical siesta on the beach. Entirely free festival.
36th Edition - Capbreton Jazz Festival 2026
For its 36th edition, the Capbreton Jazz Festival takes over the Landes marine city from June 29 to July 5, 2026. Organized by the City of Capbreton, the event unfolds across three locations: the Jardin public (Avenue Georges Clemenceau), the Front de mer, and the town center.
A week of jazz, free for all
The festival is structured in two parts. From June 29 to July 2, the terraces of partner businesses host a jazzy atmosphere in the early evening and an opening film screening. From July 3 to July 5, it's time for Jazz au Jardin: three days of open-air concerts in the green setting of the Jardin public, for all ages and tastes.
The Festival Village
At the Jardin public, the Festival Village offers numerous activities for three days: vinyl listening area, media library sale (CDs at 2 EUR), board games and giant games, musical siesta on the beach with jazz playlists, local catering by partner producers.

By car: Capbreton is located on the Landes coast, 20 km north of Bayonne. Free parking near the public garden.
By train: Bayonne station, then bus or shuttle to Capbreton.

Capbreton Jazz Festival: Jazz in Freedom by the Ocean
The Capbreton Jazz Festival was born in 1990 from the passion of Christian Nogaro, a renowned luthier and jazz lover. For over thirty years, this entirely free festival has enlivened the seaside town of Capbreton for a week each summer, offering the public quality concerts in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
A Two-Part Festival
The Capbreton Jazz Festival unfolds in two distinct phases:
- Jazz in Town: During the first few days, jazz takes over the bars, restaurants, and unique venues in the center of Capbreton, with intimate concerts and screenings.
- The Jazz Village: Starting on Friday, the public garden transforms into a festive village with three days of exceptional concerts, food trucks, and a party atmosphere.

The Capbreton Jazz Festival has become a major summer event on the Landes coast, attracting several thousand spectators each year.
