Free jazz festival in the seaside town of Capbreton
Created in 1990 by luthier Christian Nogaro, the Capbreton Jazz Festival is a must-see jazz event in the Landes region. Every summer, for a week, the seaside town of Capbreton vibrates to the rhythm of jazz in all its forms: gypsy jazz, swing, funk, soul, blues, and contemporary jazz. The unique feature of this festival is its complete freeness: all concerts are free to access, in the public garden, on the seafront, and in the streets of the town center. A living tribute to its founder's passion for jazz and instrument making.
