Chantons sous les Pins is a unique travelling festival of French song in France. Founded in 1998 in Dax, it travels every year in March through the rural communes of the Landes to bring music and culture. This singular festival takes over about twenty villages for concert evenings in intimate settings: village halls, churches, open-air theatres, and heritage sites.

A month of concerts in the Landes

For a full month, the festival features about forty artists in human-scale concerts. The programming mixes headliners of French chanson and emerging talents, with a particular focus on discovery and diversity of styles: chanson, folk, jazz, slam, world music, and original creations. The concerts, often in acoustic settings, create a unique closeness between artists and the audience.

Strong territorial roots

Chantons sous les Pins is rooted in the Landes territory and its mission is to boost cultural life in rural areas. By offering quality concerts in communes that do not always have cultural facilities, the festival plays an essential role in public cultural service. Chantons sous les P'tits Pins
