The Easter Wine Fair
The Châteaumeillant Easter Fair is above all a wine fair that highlights local AOC Châteaumeillant wine productions. For three days at Easter, producers and winemakers present their year's work in a festive atmosphere with tastings, entertainment, and rides.
The Châteaumeillant Easter Fair is a traditional Easter event organized by the Association for the Organization of the Wine Fair. This event takes place over three days in the Georges Mallet de Vandègre hall (gymnasium) and highlights the winemakers of the AOC Châteaumeillant.
The event is inaugurated on Saturday around 5 p.m. by local elected officials, with various speeches and meetings with each exhibitor. This is followed by a popular dancing dinner which officially kicks off the festivities.
For three days, the public is invited to taste the different wines and local products, while enjoying shows and balls with catering on site. Producers of AOC Châteaumeillant wines, rosé and red, present the fruit of their labor from the past year in a friendly and warm atmosphere.
At the same time, the Champ de Foire hosts rides and fairground attractions for children and adults, creating a true popular festival atmosphere. It is the ideal opportunity to discover Châteaumeillant wines, meet the winemakers, and celebrate spring in a festive atmosphere.
