Cinema under the stars in Dordogne

Ciné Belle Étoile is a program of free open-air cinema organized by Ciné Passion en Périgord. Every summer, from late May to mid-September, more than 130 screenings are offered in over 40 towns in Dordogne, transforming village squares, castle courtyards, and public gardens into open-air cinemas.

Festive evenings before the screening

Before each screening, events are organized in advance: gourmet markets, hikes, shared meals, concerts, and family activities. These moments of conviviality allow spectators to fully enjoy the evening, before the screen lights up at nightfall, between 9:45 PM and 10:15 PM depending on sunset.

Ciné-concerts and eclectic programming

The programming mixes recent films, cinema classics, and ciné-concerts. Ciné-concerts, accompanied live by musicians, revive silent film shorts in a unique atmosphere. The films are selected to appeal to all audiences, from families to cinephiles.

Ciné Passion en Périgord

Ciné Passion en Périgord is the departmental cultural operator for cinema in Dordogne. The association manages 12 cinema rooms, a traveling cinema circuit, and summer open-air screenings.
