Festival of traditional dances and music in Combrailles
Comboros is a festival of traditional dances and music organized by the association Les Brayauds-CDMDT63 in Saint-Gervais-d'Auvergne, in the Combrailles region. Its name, from an ancient Gaulish term meaning "confluence", evokes the meeting of music and cultures from different countries. For four days in August, the festival offers balls, concerts, music and dance workshops, shows, a luthiery fair, sports tournaments, and activities for everyone, in a festive and warm atmosphere in the heart of the Massif Central.
The Comboros festival takes its name from an ancient Gaulish term that gave rise to "Combrailles" and means "confluence". Comboros is distinguished by its friendly and popular atmosphere. Beyond the musical program, the festival offers mixed sports tournaments (football, table tennis, pétanque), games, a bar and catering area with food trucks and local products. The atmosphere is that of a large village festival, where festival-goers, families, musicians, and dancers of all levels mingle.
Located in Saint-Gervais-d'Auvergne, in the heart of the Combrailles, the festival contributes to the cultural vitality of this rural area of Puy-de-Dôme. The Les Brayauds association, founded in 1980 and recognized as a Departmental Center for Traditional Music and Dances since 1997, carries this event with the help of numerous volunteers. The festival campsite, located 500m from the village (suggested free participation of €7), reinforces the friendly and immersive dimension of the experience.

By car: Saint-Gervais-d'Auvergne is accessible via the A89 motorway, exit 27. Approximately 50 km northwest of Clermont-Ferrand.
By train: Riom-Châtel-Guyon station, then connection by bus or carpooling.
On foot: An organized 3-day walk (15-18-8 km) allows you to reach the festival on foot.
