A deep-rooted agricultural tradition in Dunois

The Comice Agricole et Foire de Dun-le-Palestel is a long-standing agricultural and commercial event, organized every year in August on the fairground of this commune in Creuse. The comice brings together breeders, farmers, artisans, and merchants in a friendly and festive atmosphere, perpetuating a rural tradition deeply rooted in the Dunois territory.

Livestock competition and flea market

The heart of the comice is the livestock competition, which brings together about 150 Limousin cattle and 180 sheep of Charolaise, Suffolk, Charmoise, and Texel breeds. Breeders present their finest specimens to a jury of experts, in a competition that rewards the excellence of Creuse's livestock farming. At the same time, a flea market brings together about a hundred exhibitors, professionals and individuals, offering antiques, collectibles, and various finds.

Trade fair and activities

The trade fair complements the comice with stands from local producers, artisans, and merchants. On-site catering allows visitors to eat throughout the day, while activities and entertainment are offered for young and old. Admission is free and parking is available nearby, making this day a celebration accessible to all.
