About CorsiClassic
CorsiClassic is Corsica's classical music festival, founded in 2016 on the initiative of the Quatuor Agate, a string quartet composed of musicians from Corsica or close to the island, graduates of major European conservatories. It takes place every year in September in Ajaccio, mainly at Saint-Roch church (29 cours Napoléon) and, depending on the edition, at Santa Maria Assunta cathedral.
The program offers chamber music and lyrical singing concerts, from the great classical and romantic repertoire (Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, Brahms, Fauré, Ravel, Dvořák…) to 20th-century works, with leading guest artists. The festival carries out an action to raise awareness among young audiences, with free admission for the youngest.
