The international festival that has been revealing design and interior architecture talents since 2006
Design Parade Hyères is the international design festival organized annually by the Villa Noailles, a national interest art center located in Hyères (Var). Created in 2006, it brings together two major competitions: the International Object Design Festival (20th edition in 2026) and the International Interior Architecture Festival (10th edition in 2026, part of “Design Parade Toulon”).
Each year, about ten finalists per competition are selected from hundreds of international applications. Their projects are exhibited all summer at Villa Noailles and in partner venues of the Toulon Provence Méditerranée metropolis. Winners benefit from creative residencies, grants, and collaborations with prestigious partners (Manufacture de Sèvres, CIRVA, IKEA, Van Cleef & Arpels, CHANEL, Mobilier national).
Under the artistic direction of Julie Liger, Design Parade has established itself as one of the most recognized springboards in the world for young creators in design and interior architecture.
In 2026, Design Parade reaches a symbolic milestone: 20 years of the object design competition and 10 years of the interior architecture competition. To celebrate this double anniversary, the exhibition “20+10: Generation(s) Design Parade”, entrusted to curator David Giroire, offers a unique perspective on the creators who have shaped the festival's history.
Exceptionally for this jubilee edition, the entire Villa Noailles will host both competitions together.
Since its creation, Design Parade has revealed an entire generation of world-renowned designers. The object design competition rewards innovation, the relevance of uses, and the formal quality of furniture, lighting, and everyday object projects. The interior architecture competition evaluates originality, mastery of volumes, and the creation of atmosphere.
Winners receive exceptional endowments: a one-year research residency at CIRVA (International Center for Research on Glass and Plastic Arts), an IKEA grant and study trip, a creative residency at Manufacture de Sèvres, the Van Cleef & Arpels Grand Prize (interior architecture, with a value of €5,000 and a collaborative jewelry piece worth €10,000), the CHANEL Prize (€20,000 for a visual merchandising collaboration), the Mobilier national Prize, as well as press and image support.
Beyond the festival (4 days at the end of June), the monographic exhibitions of the finalists and winners remain visible all summer at Villa Noailles, the Ancien Évêché de Toulon, the Médiathèque Chalucet, École Camondo Méditerranée, and other partner venues in the metropolis.
The 20th edition of Design Parade Hyères takes place from June 25 to 28, 2026, at Villa Noailles. This jubilee edition celebrates a double anniversary: 20 years of the object design competition and 10 years of the interior architecture competition. Under the artistic direction of Julie Liger, ten international finalists in design and ten in interior architecture present their projects before juries chaired by Front Design (Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren) for object design and Laura Gonzalez for interior architecture.
For this symbolic milestone, the exhibition « 20+10: Generation(s) Design Parade », entrusted to curator David Giroire, offers a unique perspective on the creators who have marked the festival's history. Exceptionally, the entire Villa Noailles hosts both competitions, placing the 2026 finalists and the 2025 laureates — Thomas Takada, Simon Dupety, and Malo Gagliardini — at the heart of the historic spaces.
