An electro evening at the foot of the Alps

Électro Live Barcelonnette was born in 2023 in the wake of the transformation of the Ubaye valley's summer cultural offerings. Driven by Ubaye Tourisme, the inter-municipal tourist office, this electronic music festival has settled in the Parc de la Sapinière, a green space located in the heart of Barcelonnette, a stone's throw from the town center. The event offers an original format: a single evening, one Saturday in July, with more than eight hours of uninterrupted music, from 4 PM to midnight.

An exceptional natural setting

The Parc de la Sapinière offers a breathtaking setting for an electronic music festival. Nestled in the heart of Barcelonnette, at an altitude of 1,135 meters, this historic park lined with large centenary trees welcomes festival-goers in a unique atmosphere where basslines resonate between the treetops and the surrounding mountains. The Avenue de la Libération directly serves the site, facilitating access from the town center and nearby parking. The stage is set up outdoors, allowing spectators to enjoy both the music and the alpine panorama simultaneously.

A demanding and festive electro program

The programming of Électro Live Barcelonnette mixes national headliners and up-and-coming artists, covering a wide spectrum of electronic music: electro-pop, house, electronic funk, synthpop, and DJ sets. For its first edition in 2023, the festival hosted five artists, including Feder, a pillar of French electro revealed in 2015 by his hit "Goodbye", who closed the evening at 10:30 PM. Nathalie Duchene, Bomel, Macadam Crocodile, and Quasi Qui completed an eclectic and danceable lineup.

Each set follows without interruption, creating a progressive build-up from mid-afternoon until nightfall, in an atmosphere that is both festive and intimate, characteristic of mountain festivals.

An intergenerational and accessible event

Électro Live Barcelonnette stands out for its desire to be an intergenerational cultural event. Far from the sometimes exclusive codes of the urban electro scene, the festival welcomes families, young and old, in a spirit of conviviality. Prices are deliberately accessible, with tickets ranging from 10 to 26 euros, making quality electronic music affordable for the greatest number. The holding of an electro festival in Barcelonnette is part of the cultural dynamic promoted by Ubaye Tourisme to liven up the valley during the summer season. Alongside the Les Enfants du Jazz festival, historically rooted in the local cultural landscape, Électro Live brings a resolutely contemporary and nocturnal touch to the Sapinière's programming. The Ubaye valley, a mountain territory with grandiose landscapes between the Alps and Provence, offers an ideal setting for this type of open-air event, combining natural heritage and contemporary musical creation.
