2026
About Entre Cour et Jardins
Entre cour et jardins is a traveling performing arts festival held every autumn, organized by Le Dancing — CDCN Dijon Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. For over twenty years, it has brought dance and live performance to remarkable natural settings, historic architectural sites, and community hubs throughout Dijon and its surrounding towns. The program highlights emerging local artists and site-specific residencies.
Entre Cour et Jardins — edition 2026
The 27th edition of Entre cour et jardins takes place on September 26 and 27, 2026, in Dijon and Quetigny, followed by October 3 and 4 in Barbirey-sur-Ouche. Dance moves out of the theater: Piscine des Grésilles, Médiathèque La Parenthèse, the courtyard of the Flammarion school, and the Jardins de Barbirey. All performances are free with reservation.
2026 Edition
The festival spans two weekends: September 26 and 27 in Dijon and Quetigny, and October 3 and 4 in Barbirey-sur-Ouche. Artists featured by Le Dancing include Caroline Grosjean, Marine Colard, Laurent Pichaud, Damien Briançon, Céline Larrère, Ametonyo Silva and Mel Garcia Lueches, Christine Bertocchi, and Carole Perdereau.
The program takes place at the Piscine des Grésilles and the Flammarion school courtyard in Dijon, the Médiathèque La Parenthèse in Quetigny, and the Jardins de Barbirey. The theme of this edition is our relationship with the living world: « In a world that is spinning out of control, it is more urgent than ever to reconnect with the living, » writes the organizer in their editorial.
Two participatory projects are open to the public: rehearsals for Pool Party at the Piscine des Grésilles on August 31, September 12, and September 25, and the Objets monstres workshop in Barbirey-sur-Ouche on September 18 and 19, followed by October 2, 3, and 4. Register by calling 07 87 24 58 31.

A traveling festival blending heritage and nature
Entre cour et jardins has been running for over two decades. Since 2019, it has been managed by Le Dancing — Centre de développement chorégraphique national (CDCN) Dijon Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. The concept is simple: performances are specifically designed for unique locations that do not typically host shows, such as stunning natural landscapes, historic buildings, or local community spaces.
Multiple weekends, diverse locations
The festival takes place over several weekends in September and October, with each weekend focusing on a different area within the Dijon metropolitan region or the Ouche Valley. In 2026, the festival will visit Dijon and Quetigny on September 26th and 27th, followed by Barbirey-sur-Ouche on October 3rd and 4th.
Dance, theater, music, and visual arts
As a center for choreographic development, Le Dancing places dance at the heart of its programming, often blending it with theater, music, visual arts, and architectural tours. Artists work in harmony with the architecture, landscape, and the everyday function of each venue.
A festival founded by Frédéric Bonnemaison
Frédéric Bonnemaison founded the festival with a deep focus on the connection to living things, a theme that remains the core of the programming. Le Dancing is currently directed by Frédéric Seguette.
