Estivales de l'Illustration: the art of the illustrated book
The Estivales de l'Illustration are a traveling festival dedicated to the art of illustration. Organized by the association Lires and the Departmental Media Library of the Gers, it takes place every summer in several towns in the department.
Meetings and masterclasses
The festival invites a renowned illustrator as guest of honor. Masterclasses, practical workshops, and conferences allow the public to discover the techniques and creative universe of the artists.
Exhibitions throughout the Gers
Exhibitions of original works are presented in the media libraries and cultural venues of Sarrant, Fleurance, Mauvezin, Samatan, and L'Isle-Jourdain.
Estivales — edition 2026
The 12th edition of the Estivales de l'Illustration takes place from July 15 to 19, 2026, over five days dedicated to image culture and meeting with illustrators.
Estivales de l'Illustration — 2026 Edition
For its 12th edition, from July 15 to 19, 2026, the festival offers five days of workshops, masterclasses, and exhibitions to introduce all audiences to image culture, in a festive and friendly approach.
The masterclasses are led by invited illustrators. The full program (guests, workshops, exhibitions) is progressively published by the organizing association Lires on its website and social media channels as the event approaches.
Please note: organized for many years in Sarrant (a village in the Gers renowned for books and illustration), the event is now managed by the Lires association from Monferran-Savès.
