Free open-air concert festival in Pau
Since 1982, the Été à Pau festival has been the unmissable musical event of the summer in Pau. For nearly three weeks, from mid-July to early August, the Théâtre de Verdure in Pau hosts ten free musical evenings featuring around twenty artists in a popular and eclectic program. With its 44th edition in 2025, the festival has established itself as one of the most popular cultural events in the city.
The Théâtre de Verdure, located on Avenue du Général Poeymirau, a stone's throw from Parc Beaumont and Pau's city center, is an open-air amphitheater ideal for summer concerts. Lined with trees and greenery, it offers a natural and friendly setting to enjoy music under the Pyrenean stars. Concerts start at 9 PM, as the evening coolness settles over the city.
The strength of Été à Pau lies in its program open to all musical styles. Each edition mixes pop, French chanson, electronic music, folk, rock, reggae, and world music, attracting an intergenerational audience. The 2025 edition featured:
Each year, the festival organizes L'Été des Mômes, an afternoon dedicated to young audiences in Parc Beaumont. Free games, activities, and shows are offered to children and families, extending the festive and popular spirit of Été à Pau to the youngest.
True to its popular vocation, Été à Pau is entirely free. However, access to concerts requires booking, via an online ticketing system that manages the capacity of the Théâtre de Verdure and ensures the comfort of all spectators.
The 45th edition of Été à Pau will take place from July 18th to August 1st, 2026, at the Théâtre de Verdure, in parc Beaumont. The program includes: ten free musical evenings (with reservation) featuring an eclectic and popular lineup, a film concert with partner cinema Le Méliès, and Été des Mômes for young audiences.
