Fest'Ô Miech: A Human-Sized Eco-Festival
Fest'Ô Miech was born in 2019 from the desire of a group of Montans residents, united within the GOLDEM association, to create a music and theater festival rooted in the values of ecology, conviviality, and support for local artists. The hamlet of Le Miech, a small corner of the countryside nestled between vineyards and forests in the commune of Montans, offers an ideal bucolic setting for this human-sized event.
An Exemplary Eco-Responsible Model
Fest'Ô Miech pushes the eco-responsible logic to its maximum. Catering is entirely homemade, prepared by volunteers with fresh, organic, and local products. The bar features organic wines from Bois Moisset and craft beers from La Berlue, a brewery located in Gaillac, as well as local non-alcoholic beverages. No single-use plastic waste, rigorous selective sorting, composting, and valorization of unsold goods: the festival shows that it is possible to party while respecting the environment.
Free Price and Direct Support for Artists
Fest'Ô Miech operates on a free price basis, with a minimum of 5 euros per evening. All ticket revenue is donated to the artists, ensuring fair and transparent remuneration. This solidarity-based economic model attracts musicians and companies who share the festival's values and agree to perform in an intimate and warm setting.
Music, Theater, and Camping Under the Stars
The Fest'Ô Miech program mixes contemporary music concerts — rock, chanson, world music, electro, balèti — and theater performances and troupes. The festival offers free camping on site, allowing festival-goers to extend the experience by sleeping under the stars, lulled by the sounds of the Tarn countryside. The atmosphere is that of a large meal among friends, where everyone is welcome, from families with children to discerning music lovers.
