Festa Broc Médiéval: A Journey Through Time in the Heart of Puy-de-Dôme

Every summer, the association Le Broc Terra Legenda organizes Festa Broc Médiéval, a medieval festival that transforms the Chaux plateau in Le Broc into a 15th-century village for a day. This family-friendly and festive event invites young and old to travel back in time and discover medieval life in an immersive and friendly atmosphere.

A Reconstituted Medieval Village

The Chaux plateau offers an exceptional natural setting for this historical reenactment. Visitors wander among:

• The medieval tavern: drinks and food inspired by the Middle Ages in an authentic atmosphere
• Old craft stalls: costumed artisans demonstrating medieval skills
• Canvas encampments: a recreation of daily life in the 15th century
• The artisan market: medieval-inspired crafts, jewelry, and accessories

Activities for the Whole Family

Festa Broc Médiéval offers a rich program of activities throughout the day:

• Falconry shows: demonstrations of birds of prey in flight by costumed falconers
• Equestrian shows: riders and destriers in armor performing on the plateau
• Archery: introductory sessions for all ages
• Medieval games: traditional games, a mini-farm, and fun activities for children

The Grand Medieval Evening

The festival continues into the evening with a spectacular program:

• Medieval meal: a costumed banquet served at the tavern (reservation required)
• Grand nocturnal chivalry show: "On the Trail of Dauphine du Broc," an equestrian and pyrotechnic show
• Torchlight procession: a nocturnal parade through the village
• Burning of the ramparts: a pyrotechnic finale illuminating the Chaux plateau
