When music meets wine

Born from the desire to jointly celebrate the wine heritage and musical culture of Arbois, the Festi'Caves festival has become an unmissable event of the Jura summer. For three days in July, the town of Pasteur vibrates to the rhythm of eclectic concerts and tastings of Arbois AOC wines, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

An original concept

The Festi'Caves concept is based on a harmonious blend of music and oenology:

• Free tastings: Arbois winemakers open their cellars and offer free tastings of AOC Arbois wines throughout the afternoon, allowing you to discover the five Jura grape varieties (Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard, Trousseau, and Pinot Noir).
• Outdoor concerts: from the late afternoon, original and varied concerts resonate in the streets and squares of Arbois, by candlelight and with lanterns, creating a magical atmosphere.
• Guinguette: a friendly area with local food and a wine bar enlivens the town center.

Three days of festivities

The program is structured around three highlights:

• Friday evening: opening evening with concerts and tastings in the cellars of the town center.
• Saturday: main day with free tastings in the afternoon, followed by paid concerts in the evening from 8:30 PM, offering varied musical styles from rock to jazz, including French chanson and world music.
• Sunday: walk in the vineyards accompanied by winemakers, with a traditional Jura meal and a closing outdoor concert.

Festi'Caves is an opportunity to discover one of the oldest vineyards in France. The Arbois AOC appellation, the first AOC in France obtained in 1936, produces white, red, and rosé wines, the famous Vin Jaune, Macvin, and Crémant du Jura. Participating winemakers exceptionally open their cellars and share their passion with the public.

A unique atmosphere

What makes Festi'Caves charming is this unique atmosphere where music blends with the aromas of wine under the starry sky of Arbois. The candlelight concerts in the cobbled alleys of the old town create a magical moment, where architectural heritage, wine culture, and musical creation combine harmoniously.
