A free festival in the heart of Argenton-sur-Creuse

Festiv'été is the unmissable musical event of the summer in Argenton-sur-Creuse. Since 2010, this entirely free festival has enlivened the streets and squares of the town center for four days, transforming this medieval town in the south of Indre into an open-air stage. The event celebrates music in all its forms and in a friendly atmosphere, accessible to all audiences.

Stages in the heart of the town

The Festiv'été concerts unfold on several emblematic stages in the town center: Place de la République, Place Carnot, and the Saint-Sauveur church. These locations, rich in history and character, give each concert a special atmosphere. Spectators wander freely between the stages, discovering varied musical universes according to their desires.

An eclectic and festive program

True to its spirit of discovery, Festiv'été offers a rich and diverse program each year that embraces many musical genres: rock, folk, funk, electro-pop, jazz, classical music, poetic song, and brass bands. The festival makes it a point of honor to bring together emerging artists, local talents, and established bands, offering the public the opportunity to discover artists before they become widely known.

An event rooted in its territory

Festiv'été is a project supported by the municipality of Argenton-sur-Creuse and its partners, with the support of the Tourist Office of the Creuse Valley. The festival contributes to the summer entertainment of the town and its cultural influence. Restaurants and bars in the town center actively participate in the event by hosting artists and visitors, strengthening the festival's community roots.

Fifteen years of musical discoveries

The 2024 edition marked the 14th edition of the festival, with artists such as The Kitchen Groovers (Amy Winehouse tribute), Le Pied de la Pompe, Walnut Groove, Jay Brush, Jane et les autres, and Jive Me. The 2025 edition celebrated the 15th edition with four days of eclectic programming, confirming the festival as a major summer event in Berry.
