Summer concerts and entertainment on the Place de la Halle in Le Puy-en-Velay
Festiv'Halle is a summer musical event organized every summer on the Place de la Halle in Le Puy-en-Velay. Supported by three emblematic downtown establishments — le Nagori, le Bobar, and Les 3 Chapeaux — this friendly initiative offers free concerts every Friday evening from late June to late August. The eclectic program mixes world music, rock, blues, jazz, Brazilian music, and festive atmospheres, transforming the historic heart of the city into an open-air stage.
Every summer, the Place de la Halle, in the heart of the historic center of Le Puy-en-Velay, transforms into a place of celebration and music thanks to Festiv'Halle. This weekly event, organized every Friday evening from late June to late August, was born from the common desire of three essential establishments on the square: Le Nagori, Le Bobar, and Les 3 Chapeaux. Together, they join forces to offer the people of Le Puy and visitors a varied and accessible musical program.
The richness of Festiv'Halle lies in the diversity of its programming. Each Friday, a different artist or group takes over the square for an open-air concert. Musical styles follow one another over the weeks: world music with island, Brazilian, or African sounds, rock and blues rock, jazz and jam sessions, classical music, or DJ sets and live mixes. This variety allows every spectator to find something they enjoy and discover sometimes unexpected musical universes.
In 2025, the program notably featured Angola Connection (island music), Mougli & Albert and Marko & Greg (world music), Bresilios (Brazilian music), Washing Machine Club (rock), Depp Down (blues rock), Jazz en Velay (jazz jam session), Lenrent Penalva (classical music), and Freaky Fucking Fun for the closing evening.
The Place de la Halle is one of the liveliest and most charming places in Le Puy-en-Velay. Surrounded by historic buildings, café terraces, and restaurants, it offers an ideal setting for open-air musical evenings. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed: spectators settle on terraces or stand in the square, enjoying the mild summer evenings while listening to quality concerts.
Le Puy-en-Velay, a city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site for its Camino de Santiago routes, attracts many visitors each summer. Festiv'Halle naturally fits into this tourist and cultural dynamic, offering an additional reason to stroll through the city center in the evening.
Festiv'Halle is above all a human and collective adventure. Le Nagori, Le Bobar, and Les 3 Chapeaux, three bars-restaurants located on the Place de la Halle, decided to pool their energies to liven up their neighborhood and offer local cultural events. This collaborative model, both simple and effective, illustrates the vitality of the associative and commercial life of Le Puy-en-Velay. The event helps to strengthen the attractiveness of the city center and create social connections in a festive and friendly atmosphere.
The 2026 edition of Festiv'Halle is expected from late June to late August on the Place de la Halle in Le Puy-en-Velay. As every summer, free open-air concerts will be offered every Friday evening by Le Nagori, Le Bobar, and Les 3 Chapeaux.
