French song and new circus in the heart of Morvan
Born over twenty-five years ago in Lormes, Festival C blends French song and new circus. Every July, three days of shows take over the town's streets and the Étang du Goulot, in the heart of the Morvan Regional Natural Park. Free entry, concerts, circus shows, workshops, and musical aperitifs in a festive atmosphere accessible to all.
Festival C is one of the emblematic cultural events of Lormes and the Morvan region. For three days in July, this small town in the Nièvre department buzzes to the rhythm of French song and new circus, attracting a family-friendly and curious audience in a joyful and relaxed atmosphere.
The festival's history dates back over twenty-five years, when Lormes created its French song festival. For its 25th edition, the event transformed into Festival C, enriching its musical program with new circus shows. This bold marriage between two live arts has given a new dimension to the festival, which now offers a subtle blend of intimate repertoires and festive atmospheres, between the music stage and the circus ring.
Festival C unfolds in two complementary spaces: the streets and squares of Lormes for daytime shows and activities, and the stage at Étang du Goulot, an enchanting body of water nestled in the Morvan forest, for evening concerts. This exceptional natural setting, in the heart of the Morvan Regional Natural Park, gives the festival a unique and revitalizing atmosphere.
The festival highlights local and regional musicians and circus companies, while also inviting national artists. The program includes:
Festival C is free to access, with a reverse ticketing system (pay-what-you-wish at the end of the show). This philosophy, true to the spirit of the Morvan, guarantees the event's accessibility to all audiences and demonstrates the organizers' commitment to cultural democratization.
Festival C will return in July 2026 to Lormes for a new weekend of French song and new circus in the heart of Morvan. Dates and program to be confirmed.
