The Festival Culture des Îles is a cultural event organized by the association Couleur Piment Créole in Tarbes. It celebrates the richness and diversity of overseas cultures — Antilles, Réunion, Mayotte, New Caledonia, Polynesia — through a varied program combining conferences, music, dance, and gastronomy.
Each edition features conferences-debates with sociologists and associative actors, documentary screenings followed by round tables, Creole and Indian Ocean music concerts, an associative village dedicated to cultural mixing, Creole storytelling, and Creole meals open to all.
The Festival Culture des Îles aims to be a space for meeting and sharing between overseas communities settled in mainland France and the Bigourdan public. It contributes to the promotion of living together and cultural diversity in the Hautes-Pyrénées.
The Festival Culture des Îles 2026 will return to Tarbes for a new edition celebrating overseas cultures. Programming to come.
The 2026 edition of the Festival Culture des Îles will be held in Tarbes around May. The program will be announced later.
