Big Bag Festival

An eclectic festival in the heart of the Pyrenees

The Big Bag Festival has established itself as the musical event of the back-to-school season in Bagnères-de-Bigorre. Organized by the Cartel Bigourdan, an association dedicated to the promotion of contemporary music which also manages the concert venue l'Alamzic, the festival offers every third weekend of September a deliberately eclectic program open to all audiences.

Art in all its forms

The Big Bag Festival's program is not limited to concerts. The festival asserts itself as a multidisciplinary event offering "art in all its forms". Concerts under the marquee and at l'Alamzic alternate with street theater, participatory frescoes, exhibitions, and live performances. On Saturday mornings, artists take over the emblematic market of Bagnères for musical sessions in the heart of local life.

A friendly festival village

Located on the Place du Foirail, the festival village is the beating heart of the event. Festival-goers can enjoy a bodega area with an intimate atmosphere and local "made in Bigorre" catering, tree-climbing courses, children's entertainment, and games. This family-friendly and convivial dimension makes the Big Bag Festival a popular intergenerational event for everyone.

From rap to electronic music, from polyphonic singing to techno, the Big Bag Festival claims an eclectic program that reflects the diversity of contemporary music. The festival brings together local and national artists for two days of musical discoveries in the exceptional setting of the spa town of Bagnères-de-Bigorre, at the foot of the Pic du Midi.
