Traditional music and dance in the heart of central Brittany
The Festival de Kleg is a festival of traditional music and dance organized every spring in Cléguérec, in central Brittany. For nearly four decades, this festival, led by the association En Arwen, has been making all of central Brittany dance by offering a program that weaves links between traditional Breton music and sounds from elsewhere. For three days in May, the festival hosts around twenty groups, a bagad, concerts, fest-noz, and a show for young audiences, in a friendly and festive atmosphere that attracts passionate dancers and curious people of all ages.
For nearly 40 years, the Festival de Kleg has been a must-attend event for lovers of traditional music and dance in Brittany. Organized by the association En Arwen, the festival takes over the town of Cléguérec, in the heart of Morbihan, every spring for three days of music, dance, and conviviality.
The Festival de Kleg offers a program that blends traditional Breton music with sounds from elsewhere: world music, jazz, experimental music, and hybrid creations. This artistic openness, while remaining rooted in tradition, offers a rich and inventive musical panorama that makes the festival unique.
The fest-noz, these traditional Breton balls inscribed in UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage, are at the heart of the festival. They take place every evening on the fest-noz stage, bringing together experienced and novice dancers in an electric atmosphere. In parallel, the concert stage hosts more experimental groups and original musical proposals.
The Festival de Kleg cultivates a family-friendly and accessible atmosphere. A show for young audiences is offered each year, and admission is free for children under 15. The singing meal, a moment of conviviality around the table, is a festival tradition. Competitions and singing workshops complete the program.
Each edition brings together around 22 groups and formations, a bagad (Breton music ensemble), a DJ, and numerous duos and soloists, spread across two stages over three days. The festival offers a mix of styles and energies that makes Cléguérec the musical epicenter of central Brittany for a weekend.
The 39th edition of the Festival de Kleg will be held from May 7 to 9, 2026, in Cléguérec. Three days of concerts, fest-noz, a show for young audiences, and activities centered around traditional and world music.
