The great gathering of Breton pipers and dancers in Quiberon Bay
The Presqu'île Breizh Festival is a festival of Breton culture that celebrates traditional music and dance every autumn in Quiberon Bay. Created in 2015, the festival brings together over 800 pipers and dancers from all over Brittany and beyond for a festive weekend combining performances by bagadoù, Celtic circles, fest-noz, parades, and activities. Present in about ten towns on the Quiberon peninsula and its surroundings, the event attracts thousands of spectators and dancers, brilliantly perpetuating Breton musical and choreographic traditions.
Since 2015, the Presqu'île Breizh Festival has become one of the major events for traditional Breton culture in Morbihan. Every autumn, in October, this travelling festival takes over the towns of Quiberon Bay for a festive and popular weekend.
The festival brings together over 800 pipers and dancers from Brittany and elsewhere. Bagadoù (ensembles of bagpipes, bombards, and percussion), Celtic circles (traditional dance troupes), and various musical groups perform in the streets, halls, and squares of the participating towns.
The originality of the festival lies in its travelling format: performances unfold across about ten towns on the peninsula and its surroundings, including Carnac, Quiberon, Plouharnel, and others. This broad territorial presence allows it to reach a diverse audience and showcase the heritage of each town.
The festival features lively fest-noz, colorful parades, Breton and Celtic music concerts, and stage shows highlighting the traditional repertoire. International delegations (Ireland, Scotland, Spain) bring an inter-Celtic dimension to the event.
Presqu'île Breizh cultivates a popular, friendly, and festive spirit, true to the values of Breton culture. The festival is a meeting place between generations, between amateurs and professionals, between tradition and creation, in a spirit of sharing and cultural pride.
The 11th edition of the Presqu'île Breizh Festival will be held on October 24 and 25, 2026, in the towns of Quiberon Bay, featuring pipers, dancers, and fest-noz.
