About Festival de la Poupée
ℹ️ Festival discontinued. The Étain Doll Festival, « The doll in all its forms », a biennial festival organized by the Communauté de communes du Pays d'Étain around the La Halle cultural center, no longer seems to be held. Its last documented edition was the 12th, from October 19 to 23, 2022, on the theme of Halloween. No edition has been announced since, whereas a 13th was expected around 2024.

« The doll in all its forms » in Étain
Organized by the Communauté de communes du Pays d'Étain (territorial promotion division), the festival was centered around the La Halle cultural and tourist center, in Étain (55400). Every two years, it transformed the town around the world of dolls and antique toys.
Exhibition, doll restoration and collections
The festival offered an exhibition of dolls and antique toys, with a doll restoration service, as well as exhibitions and the discovery of the last French doll factory, Petitcollin, located in the Meuse.
Shows, workshops and parades
Shows for young audiences (puppets, shadow theatre, circus), creative workshops for costumes and accessories for all ages, fashion shows animated by conservatory students and creation contests punctuated the event. The more condensed 12th edition in 2022 took on a Halloween theme with its « Witches' Ball ».
Festival de la Poupée — edition 2026
ℹ️ 2026 edition cancelled — festival discontinued. No 2026 edition of the Tin Doll Festival will take place. This biennial festival ("The doll in all its forms"), organized by the Communauté de communes du Pays d'Étain, held its last edition — the 12th — from October 19 to 23, 2022. No new edition has been announced since, while a 13th was expected around 2024.

The festival took place around the La Halle cultural and tourist center, 2 rue des Casernes, in Étain (55400), as well as in other halls of the commune.

Access to the exhibition was paid; many activities were free.
Today
The La Halle cultural center and the Communauté de communes du Pays d'Étain continue to program events and exhibitions throughout the year.
