The doll in all its states in Étain
Étain, a small town in the Meuse region, is home to exceptional industrial and cultural heritage linked to the doll. This is where the Petitcollin factory, the last French doll manufacturing plant founded in 1860, is located. The Festival de la Poupée celebrates this unique heritage through a festive and family-friendly event that attracts enthusiasts and families from all over the region each year.
The festival takes place over several days during the Toussaint school holidays and offers a rich program of activities:
The festival takes place in La Halle, Étain's cultural and tourist center, which also houses the Petitcollin Doll Museum and a dedicated shop. This modern and welcoming venue is an ideal anchor point for the event, offering exhibition, performance, and activity spaces suitable for all audiences.
Beyond the festival, a visit to Étain allows you to discover the rich heritage of this Meuse town: the Saint-Martin church with its remarkable altarpiece, the vestiges of World War I history, and the rolling landscapes of the Meuse countryside.
