About Festival de la Terre 77

Every year, the Young Farmers of Seine-et-Marne bring the Festival de la Terre to a different town in the department. For one weekend, a patch of farmland is transformed into a showcase of the Brie region's agricultural world, featuring a local farmers' market, combine harvester racing, and tractor or helicopter rides.

Since the late 1980s, the event has drawn thousands of visitors each year to connect with local farmers, with the support of the Seine-et-Marne Department.

The Festival de la Terre is organized by the Young Farmers of Seine-et-Marne (JA 77), the union representing the department's young agricultural professionals. The event is itinerant: each edition moves to a new host town, supported by local cantons. Following Augers-en-Brie in 2023 and Villebéon in 2025 for the 37th edition, the 38th edition will be held in Courpalay in 2026.

The festival highlights Brie agriculture through a local produce market, regional and departmental plowing competitions, farm animals, and a pop-up pony club. The "moiss'batt'cross"—a race featuring combine harvesters on a custom-built track—remains the most popular attraction. Throughout the day, the public can enjoy tractor, quad, combine harvester, and helicopter rides, as well as an open-air mass.

The event, which attracts thousands of visitors annually, is supported by the Seine-et-Marne Department and the local authorities of the host town.
