The Festival de Langlade-Brenoux, also known as "Rencontre au Jardin" (Meeting in the Garden), is a multidisciplinary festival organized by the Foyer Rural de Langlade in the commune of Brenoux, near Mende. The Festival de Langlade-Brenoux is a biennial cultural event organized by the Foyer Rural de Langlade, an association created in 1987 that has been animating the cultural, sports, and leisure life of the commune of Brenoux and its surroundings. The festival, titled "Rencontre au Jardin," is a place for meetings, exchanges, and reflections, driven by a varied and multidisciplinary artistic program.
The Festival de Langlade stands out for its program mixing music, contemporary circus, theater, and performing arts. Each edition is designed as an invitation to discovery and reflection, centered around themes related to the environment and sustainable development. The shows take place outdoors, in the bucolic setting of the hamlet of Langlade, offering an immersive experience in the heart of the Lozère nature.
The festival hosts artists from diverse backgrounds, offering artistic forms ranging from acoustic concerts to circus-theater shows, including participatory performances and creative workshops open to all ages.
The atmosphere of the Festival de Langlade is resolutely warm and relaxed. Evenings often begin with a market of local producers followed by a shared meal, where festival-goers gather around common tables before attending the shows. The on-site bar and catering highlight local products from the Lozère region.
True to its commitment to the environment, the festival offers workshops, conferences, and debates on sustainable development, ecology, and living together. Exhibitions complement the program, offering visitors an artistic perspective on contemporary issues.
Driven by a team of volunteers from the Foyer Rural de Langlade, the festival is a true collective project that unites the inhabitants of Brenoux and surrounding communes. It contributes to the cultural dynamism of the Mende periphery and the attractiveness of the Lozère territory, by offering a quality event in a preserved rural setting.
