The 27th edition of the Festival des Bandas (Nuit des Bandas) will be held on Friday, July 24th and Saturday, July 25th, 2026, in the city center of Saint-Astier, Dordogne. Bodega evening on Friday (aperitif, meal by reservation, and street bands), followed by the Nuit des Bandas on Saturday evening with about ten bandas and more than 250 musicians animating the squares and streets. Free admission.
27th edition on July 24th and 25th, 2026
The Festival des Bandas returns to Saint-Astier for its 27th edition on Friday, July 24th and Saturday, July 25th, 2026. Organized by the Fêt'Astier association, this gathering for lovers of street bands and bandas transforms the city center into a large open-air dance every summer.
The festivities open on Friday, July 24th from 7 PM, Place du Général de Gaulle (behind the town hall), with the traditional Bodega evening: aperitif, meal by reservation (braised ham, grenaille potatoes, cabécou, dessert, coffee) and musical entertainment provided by several street bands.
On Saturday, July 25th, from 8 PM, the Nuit des Bandas itself will feature about ten bandas and their majorettes performing successively on two stages set up at Place du 14 Juillet and Place du Général de Gaulle, in a friendly and festive South-Western atmosphere. Refreshment stands and food are available throughout the evening. Access is free.

The festival of brass bands in the Southwest
Since 1999, the Nuit des Bandas in Saint-Astier has become a must-attend event for lovers of bandas and street bands in the Southwest. Organized by the Fet'Astier association, the festival takes place every year in July over two evenings.
About ten bandas in the streets
Each edition brings together about ten bandas composed of over 250 musicians who parade through the town center of Saint-Astier with brass instruments, percussion, and various instruments. The bandas perform on two stages: the Place du Général de Gaulle and the Place du 14 Juillet.
Bodega and festive atmosphere
The festival begins on Friday evening with a Bodega evening with an aperitif, street band entertainment, and a paella meal (reservation required). On Saturday evening, the Nuit des Bandas itself transforms the town center into a huge open-air ball. Food and drinks are available throughout the evening.
