The Festival des Couleurs de Cruas is a participatory festival organized by the City of Cruas, in Ardèche (07), in a warm and colorful atmosphere. The program includes: artist exhibitions, a craft and gourmet market, children's entertainment, concerts, DJ sets, fireworks, and the famous Color Run, a family race punctuated by colored powders. The edition gathers more than 2,000 visitors around the Place de l'église and Place du Crûle.
A colorful and participatory festival
The Festival des Couleurs de Cruas is an annual event held at the beginning of June in the commune of Cruas, a village in Ardèche located between Montélimar and Le Teil, on the right bank of the Rhône. Organized by the Mairie de Cruas, this popular and participatory festival celebrates arts and culture in a joyful and colorful atmosphere, true to its name.
Exhibitions, artisan market, and concerts
The program of the Festival des Couleurs is structured around several highlights: exhibitions by visual artists and painters, an artisan market showcasing local creators, open-air concerts, and a fireworks display concluding the first evening. Each edition honors a guest artist who exhibits their works and shares their creative universe with the public. In 2024, Angéla Vehier was the guest of honor artist of the festival.
The Color Run, a flagship event
One of the most anticipated moments of the Festival des Couleurs is the Color Run, a festive and colorful race open to all ages and all athletic levels. Participants follow a circuit through the village while being showered with colored powders, creating a joyful and participatory visual spectacle. This event embodies the spirit of the festival: a popular celebration where everyone becomes an actor of the event.
A festival rooted in Cruas' heritage
The commune of Cruas has a rich historical heritage, notably the 11th-century Romanesque abbey church of Cruas and the Château des Moines. The Festival des Couleurs is part of this cultural tradition by offering an event that values both contemporary creation and the identity of the village. The activities take place in the public spaces of the commune, creating a festive route through the village.

The Festival des Couleurs de Cruas is a completely free event, in line with the municipality's desire to offer a cultural event accessible to all. This free access contributes to the spirit of sharing and conviviality that characterizes the festival, attracting a family and intergenerational audience. In just a few editions, the festival has become an anticipated event in the cultural life of the Ardèche Rhône valley.
Couleurs de Cruas — edition 2026
The 3rd edition of the Cruas Colors Festival will be held on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, 2026 in Cruas city center (07). Two days of participatory activities, with Color Run, concerts, MTI Color Night and guest Helmut Fritz, craft market, batucada parade, workshops and fireworks. The guest of honor artist is Angéla Vehier.
A colorful 3rd edition
After two first editions that brought together more than 2,000 visitors and 700 participants in the Color Run, the City of Cruas is doing it again on May 30 and 31, 2026. Two days of participatory celebration in the city center (Place de l'église, Place du Crûle), with artisan stalls, musical atmospheres, workshops, exhibitions and major festive events.

- Human chain Saturday 5:45 PM: objective to beat the Ardèche record of 151 people
- MTI Color Night Saturday 9 PM-1 AM with MTI Tour, 2 DJs from the MTI Family, the Saxo'Matic group and guest Helmut Fritz
- Fireworks Saturday 11 PM
- Color Run Sunday 3 PM: 1.5 km race with obstacles and many surprises (Body's Studio warm-up from 2:30 PM)
