2026 edition of the Festival des Fanfares de Montpellier, in Hérault: the 29th edition takes place on June 12th and 13th, 2026. Around twenty French and international brass bands play for free in the streets, squares, and on stages in the Beaux-Arts and Boutonnet districts. Free access and open to everyone.

Festival des Fanfares de Montpellier — 2026 Edition

The 29th edition of the Festival des Fanfares de Montpellier takes place on Friday, June 12th and Saturday, June 13th, 2026 in Montpellier, in the Hérault department. Organized by the Arc-en-ciel des Faubourgs association, this major popular and entirely free event transforms the city's streets into a huge street music festival.

Around twenty brass bands from all over France and abroad liven up the Beaux-Arts and Boutonnet districts, as well as several partner districts and municipalities of the metropolis. On Friday evening, the brass bands perform in different districts and municipalities; on Saturday, they play continuous sets on seven stages installed in the heart of the Beaux-Arts and Boutonnet districts.

Funk, jazz, Balkan music, brass band... styles blend in a festive and friendly atmosphere, supported by over 200 volunteers and the enthusiasm of the Montpellier public.

Programme Festival des Fanfares de 2026

Friday, June 12th, 2026

In the evening, around twenty brass bands will perform for free in several districts of Montpellier and partner municipalities of the metropolis, for parades and concerts closer to the residents.

Saturday, June 13th, 2026

  • In the morning: surprise performances by the brass bands in various locations around the city.
  • 4:30 PM — Place Émile Combes: official presentation of the edition's invited brass bands.
  • From 7 PM to 1 AM — Beaux-Arts and Boutonnet districts: continuous rotation of brass bands on seven stages and podiums, transforming the streets into a giant party until the heart of the night.

Among the brass bands invited in 2026 are Minor Mishap Brass Band (Texas), Philfolles (Netherlands), La Mécanique des Cuivres (Toulouse), In Your Brass (Grenoble), Magmatik Brass Band (Clermont-Ferrand), Turbo Diese 2000 (Bordeaux), Tuspareik (Marseille), Velcros Brass Band (Lyon), alongside Parisian and Montpellier groups.
