About Festival du Feu
The Festival du Feu (Fire Festival) is a grand sound and light pyrotechnic show held every late August at the Maure-de-Bretagne racecourse, in Val d'Anast (Ille-et-Vilaine). Presented as Brittany's largest pyrotechnic show, it combines fireworks, light displays, and fire artist performances in an immersive scenography.
The Festival du Feu — Val d'Anast (35)
The Festival du Feu takes place at the Maure-de-Bretagne racecourse, in the commune of Val d'Anast in Ille-et-Vilaine, about forty kilometers south of Rennes. The event is announced by its organizers as Brittany's largest pyrotechnic show.
The day and evening are organized around a craft market, a tavern, food trucks, musicians, and street artists, who create a festive atmosphere before the main event. At nightfall, an approximately one-hour pyrotechnic show combines fireworks, flames, lights, and special effects to tell a story with music — for the 2026 edition, the chosen theme is the birth of Earth.
The site is equipped to welcome the public in the evening (free parking, on-site catering, PRM access). Access is by reservation only, with no ticket sales on site.

The 2026 edition of the Festival du Feu will take place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Maure-de-Bretagne racecourse, in Val d'Anast (35). This year, the sound and light pyrotechnic show, lasting approximately one hour, will tell the story of the birth of Earth.
Festival du Feu — 2026 Edition
The 2026 edition of the Festival du Feu will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Maure-de-Bretagne racecourse, in the commune of Val d'Anast in Ille-et-Vilaine. The site opens its doors in the late afternoon and the evening continues until midnight.
For 2026, the organizers have expanded the pyrotechnic setup: the firing facade has increased from 200 to 300 meters wide, a rare dimension for this type of show. The one-hour sound and light show, with an immersive scenography, tells the story of the birth of Earth.
Before the show, the public can enjoy an artisan market, a tavern, numerous food trucks, and entertainment from street artists and musicians.
