About Festival du Vent Talmont
The wind brings the most beautiful village to life
The Wind Festival invites visitors to discover the fascinating world of kites in the exceptional setting of Talmont-sur-Gironde, one of France's Most Beautiful Villages. Organized by the association Les Vents du Tao, this festival transforms the medieval village into an open-air gallery where weather vanes, wind turbines, and international kites come alive with the estuarine breezes.
Discovery and creativity for all
Over four days from late May to early June, the festival offers demonstrations and flights of kites from around the world, strolls through the village streets to admire wind creations, and workshops for children (from 6€). A small kite museum completes this immersion into the poetic and colorful world of flying objects. The event takes place from 10 am to 6 pm in a family-friendly and convivial atmosphere.

On the program:
- Flights of traditional and modern kites
- Wind Garden, a unique installation featuring over 60 animated weathervanes, from 1900 to the present day
- Village decoration with colorful banners for a festive atmosphere
- Walks in the village to discover wind-powered creations
- Creative workshops for children, to learn while having fun
