Three evenings of circus and performing arts by Lake Paladru
The Les Nuits hors la Grange festival is a circus and performing arts festival that takes place every summer in the orchard of the Grange Dîmière, in the Villages du lac de Paladru, in the Pays voironnais region. For three exceptional evenings in early August, contemporary circus companies take over this heritage site, a listed Historic Monument, formerly an outbuilding of the Sylve Bénite charterhouse. A family-friendly and poetic event at affordable prices, combining acrobatics, music, and circus creations in a unique natural setting by Lake Paladru.
The Les Nuits hors la Grange festival takes place every summer in the orchard of the Grange Dîmière, in the Villages du lac de Paladru. This exceptional site, formerly an outbuilding of the Sylve Bénite charterhouse, is a listed Historic Monument that was saved from ruin and restored with natural materials by heritage construction companies. Built in 1655 on a hillside over two levels, the Grange Dîmière is distinguished by its vast proportions, architectural qualities, and majesty.
For three exceptional evenings in early August, the Grange orchard comes alive and hosts contemporary circus companies selected for the quality and originality of their creations. The shows explore the full richness of contemporary circus:
Les Nuits hors la Grange is designed as a family event, open to all audiences. The shows start at 8 PM in the summer evening light and last about 40 to 50 minutes, an ideal format for families. The deliberately low prices (5 euros for adults, 2 euros for children aged 10 to 18, free for children under 10) reflect the desire to make performing arts accessible to the widest possible audience.
The orchard of the Grange Dîmière offers an enchanting natural setting for the performances. A short walk from Lake Paladru, one of the most beautiful natural lakes in the Isère region, the site is bathed in a bucolic and soothing atmosphere that adds a magical dimension to the circus shows. The exceptional environment, between built heritage and preserved nature, makes each evening a unique and memorable experience.
The Les Nuits hors la Grange festival is organized as part of the cultural programming of the Pays voironnais. It is part of the agglomeration community's commitment to valuing its heritage and offering quality cultural events throughout its territory, beyond just the town of Voiron.
