About Festival de Lamalou-les-Bains
The Lamalou-les-Bains Lyric Festival, formerly known as the Lamalou-les-Bains Festival, is a celebration of operetta and lyrical art. It takes place every summer from late July to mid-August at the municipal theater on Avenue Charcot. Tickets are managed by the town hall. The regional press considers it one of the last two remaining operetta festivals in France, alongside the one in Aix-les-Bains.
Festival de Lamalou-les-Bains — edition 2026
The Lamalou-les-Bains Lyric Festival brings together operettas and lyric concerts from July 22 to August 16, 2026, at the Municipal Theatre. The program features: Viennese Waltzes, À la Jamaïque, The Merry Widow, and Le Prince de Madrid, with an opening concert featuring Erminie Blondel and Florian Laconi.
The Lyric Festival is held at the Municipal Theatre in Lamalou-les-Bains, with two free off-site concerts in Avène and Villemagne-l'Argentière as part of L'Estivale Grand Orb. The Festival OFF meet-and-greets take place on the Casino terrace.

Location
Théâtre municipal, Avenue Charcot, 34240 Lamalou-les-Bains. The Festival OFF takes place on the Casino terrace.
Reservations
Book tickets online at billetterie.legilog.fr/lamalou, by calling 04 67 95 63 07, or at the town hall. Tickets purchased online can be picked up at the town hall or theater box office before the performance. Subscription packages are available for 3 or more shows; please inquire at 04 67 95 63 07. Reduced rates apply to groups of 10 or more, children, and spa guests. Lyrical concerts and the opening concert are free of charge.
The festival features around ten events, including Sunday operettas at 3:00 PM at the municipal theater, free lyrical concerts at 6:00 PM—some held outside the town as part of L'Estivale Grand Orb—and the Festival OFF, which includes artist meet-and-greets hosted by Annie Grenier on the Casino terrace. The TLA Production company oversees the concert organization.
The lyrical season in Lamalou-les-Bains dates back to 1880. Director Fernand L'Huillier arrived in 1949, and the Operetta Festival was established in 1975, according to records published by altermidi.org.
