About Pellicu-Live

The Festival Pellicu-Live is a multidisciplinary event mixing cinema, live music, and gastronomy, organized annually in September at Parc Palauda in Thuir, in the Pyrénées-Orientales. Created in 2021 by David Garcia and Anaïs Demaison, the festival was sponsored by actor François-Xavier Demaison. For three days, the Villa Palauda park transforms into a festive place where spectators can enjoy open-air film screenings, live concerts, and gastronomic tastings under the southern sun. The festival has become an anticipated event of the Catalan cultural season.

Cinema, music, and gastronomy in the heart of Roussillon

The Festival Pellicu-Live is a unique cultural event that brings together three passions in one place: cinema, live music, and gastronomy. Created in 2021 by David Garcia and Anaïs Demaison, originally from Thuir, the festival was sponsored from its inception by actor François-Xavier Demaison.

A Post-Covid Birth

Initially planned for 2020, the festival had to wait until 2021 to see the light of day, with the organizers channeling all their energy and hopes into a first edition that met with immediate success. The original concept of mixing film screenings, concerts, and culinary experiences in the enchanting setting of Parc Palauda captivated the public from day one.

An Exceptional Setting

The festival takes place at Parc Palauda, avenue du Docteur Ecoiffier in Thuir, a green space of timeless charm. Doors open at 6 PM and access is possible until 11 PM. Spectators enjoy open-air screenings and concerts, in a standing configuration with free seating, under the starry sky of Roussillon.

A Festive and Friendly Program

Each edition offers three days of:

  • Open-air film screenings, featuring previews and cult classics
  • Live concerts in various genres (pop, rock, French chanson, electro)
  • Gastronomy: food stalls with local specialties and culinary creations
  • Meet-and-greets with artists, directors, and personalities from the world of cinema

A Growing Festival

Since its creation, Pellicu-Live has experienced constant growth, evolving from a bold first edition to an anticipated event of the Catalan cultural season. The festival is supported by Crédit Mutuel as its main partner.
