Vintage weekend and vintage vehicles in the heart of Berry
The Festival Rétro de Levroux is a festive and nostalgic event dedicated to vintage culture and collector vehicles. Organized every year in May in the medieval town of Levroux, in the Indre region, this free festival offers an exhibition of retro vehicles, cabaret shows, concerts, a pin-up parade, a vintage vehicle parade, and activities for the whole family. A weekend dedicated to conviviality and nostalgia for past decades.
The Festival Rétro de Levroux invites vintage and beautiful mechanics enthusiasts on a journey through time in the heart of the medieval town of Levroux, in the Indre department. Every year in May, this free and family-friendly festival celebrates vintage vehicles and the retro world in a festive and friendly atmosphere.
The heart of the festival beats to the rhythm of yesteryear's engines. An exhibition of retro vehicles brings together classic cars, vintage motorcycles, and period utility vehicles, carefully restored by their passionate owners. From models from the 1930s to icons from the 1970s, each vehicle tells a story and testifies to the automotive know-how of a bygone era. The traditional parade of vintage vehicles through the streets of Levroux is one of the weekend's highlights.
Beyond the beautiful mechanics, the Festival Rétro offers a rich and varied festive program. Cabaret shows and concerts liven up the two days of the festival, with artists revisiting the musical repertoires of past decades. A pin-up contest and a parade add a glamorous and retro touch to the event. Tattoo artist John Line B also offers his services for vintage body art enthusiasts.
Levroux, with its remarkable medieval heritage—its Saint-Sylvain collegiate church, its half-timbered houses, and its Porte de Champagne—offers an ideal setting for this festival that plays on nostalgia and time travel. The Allée des Tilleuls, the main venue for the event, transforms for a weekend into a true retro village where exhibitors, artists, and visitors mingle.
Entirely free, the Festival Rétro de Levroux focuses on conviviality and accessibility. On-site catering allows visitors to extend their day in a warm atmosphere. After the success of its first edition in 2024, the festival has established itself as a new unmissable spring event for vintage culture enthusiasts in the Indre region and beyond.
