The hip-hop and urban arts festival of Gueret
The Festival Urban Culture is an annual event organized in Gueret by La Gueretoise de spectacle (conventioned stage) in partnership with the city of Gueret and La Quincaillerie. Since 2007, it has highlighted all facets of urban culture: rap, hip-hop dance, graffiti, beatbox, breakdance, and street arts.
Over about ten days, the festival offers concerts with artists from the French rap scene, hip-hop dance shows, national battles, graffiti and breakdance workshops, film screenings, and sports initiations. Events take place in various locations in Gueret, notably the Espace Andre Lejeune and La Quincaillerie.
The 2026 edition celebrates the festival's 20th anniversary with an exceptional program including Demi Portion, 2L, and many other artists. The festival contributes to making hip-hop culture accessible in rural areas and actively participates in the cultural life of Creuse.
The 20th edition of the Festival Urban Culture celebrates the festival's 20th anniversary from April 22 to May 3, 2026 in Gueret. The anniversary program includes Demi Portion, 2L, and many other artists. On the program: workshops, shows, breakdance battles, national hip-hop battle, concerts, and drawing contests.
