Independent music festival at Fort de Bertheaume — event on hold since 2020
There is no edition scheduled in 2026 for this event. This page remains accessible to archive the history of the manifestation and will be updated if a new edition is announced.
ℹ️ Festival currently on hold. At the time of our editorial verification (May 2026), we found no public source (official website, town hall, tourist office, local press, ticketing) announcing a recent or upcoming edition of the Festival Visions. The last publicly documented edition was in 2020 (8th edition, early August). The domain name festivalvisions.com has since been repurposed and no longer points to the festival. If a new edition were to be organized, this page would be updated.
From 2013 to 2020, the Festival Visions had established itself as a key event for the independent music scene in Brittany. Nestled in the spectacular setting of Fort de Bertheaume in Plougonvelin, a few kilometers from Brest, this human-scale festival offered a unique musical experience, where concerts resonated facing the immensity of the Atlantic Ocean.
Fort de Bertheaume, a remarkable heritage site perched on a rocky spur facing the sea, constituted a unique festival venue in France. The festival's three stages were arranged in and around this historic fortress, offering spectators breathtaking panoramas. Evening concerts, bathed in the low light of the Atlantic sunset, created moments of rare intensity.
True to its independent DNA, Festival Visions annually curated an eclectic and audacious program, mixing alternative rock, indie pop, experimental folk, post-punk, and unclassifiable discoveries. The forty artists programmed over three days were selected for their creativity, with a mix of recognized headliners and emerging talents. The site's limited capacity gave the concerts an intimacy that large festivals could not offer.
Festival Visions upheld eco-responsible values that were reflected in all aspects of its organization: catering with short supply chains using organic and local products, reusable tableware with participatory washing stations, and logistics designed to minimize environmental impact. The free camping provided to festival-goers extended this philosophy of conviviality.
Human-scale by choice, Visions cultivated a warm and relaxed atmosphere that built its reputation. The festival prioritized the quality of the experience, encounters, and sharing around music. This philosophy, combined with the exceptional natural setting of the Breton point, made it "a little corner of paradise at the end of the Breton point," as described by Tsugi magazine.
