The big popular and free neighborhood festival of Bagneux, between street arts and grape harvests
Every autumn, Bagneux (92220) celebrates its big local festival with the Fête des Vendanges, an unmissable event on the last weekend of September. More than 25 free shows bring together 300 artists in the streets: circus, theater, concerts, batucada, and traditional grape pressing. A popular, intergenerational, and entirely free festival in the heart of the Hauts-de-Seine.
Bagneux is a town of 40,000 inhabitants in the Hauts-de-Seine department, on the southern border of Paris. Rooted in a tradition of dynamic associative life, the town organizes its big local festival every year at the end of September, known as the Fête des Vendanges. This free, popular, and intergenerational event is one of the most appreciated in the department.
The Fête des Vendanges puts street arts in the spotlight. More than 25 free shows, performed by around 300 artists from all over France and abroad, take over the streets, squares, and parks of Bagneux for a whole weekend. Contemporary circus, street theater, music, dance, performances, and artistic installations follow one another without interruption from noon until nightfall.
Renowned companies from the street arts scene are regularly featured. In 2025, Vaudou Game, an Afro-Togo funk band, set the main square ablaze, while Cirque Inextremiste offered its dizzying acrobatics on excavators, and the Orchestre De Lutetia transported the audience into the spheres of open-air opera. These bold programs are a signature of the festival.
The other pillar of the festival is the grape harvest tradition. Bagneux preserves some vestiges of its wine-growing past in the Île-de-France region, and the grape pressing is one of the most anticipated highlights each year, especially by families and children. Pressing grapes, discovering the ancient gestures of the winemaker, participating in the symbolic making of "Bagneux wine": a journey back in time in the heart of the Parisian suburbs.
The Fête des Vendanges gives a special place to children and families. The "Si t'es Môme" Village brings together activities exclusively dedicated to the youngest: adapted street shows, creative workshops, giant games, face painting, and artistic discoveries. In parallel, local associations set up stands and offer sports and cultural activities accessible to all.
The Fête de Bagneux is also an opportunity for the local associative fabric to showcase itself and meet residents. Sports, cultural, solidarity, and neighborhood associations: more than fifty stands testify to the richness of local life in Bagneux. Live street art murals created by local and national artists complete the picture, making the town an open-air art gallery for the weekend.
True to its popular DNA, the Fête des Vendanges de Bagneux is entirely free and without reservation. Open to all audiences, it is designed so that every resident—whether a child, senior, art lover, or simply a stroller—can find their place and leave with stars in their eyes. A unique opportunity to experience culture in all its forms without spending a penny, in the heart of a city that makes access to culture for all one of its priorities.
The 2026 Fête des Vendanges in Bagneux will take place on September 26 and 27, 2026. Over 25 free shows, 300 artists, street arts, grape pressing, and family entertainment in the streets of the town center. Free admission.
