Malakoff en fête: Fête de la Musique with high festive energy
Malakoff is a municipality of 32,000 inhabitants in the Hauts-de-Seine department, bordering the 14th arrondissement of Paris. A popular, multicultural city with a strong associative life, Malakoff celebrates the Fête de la Musique each year with exceptional ambition: three days of celebration, named 'Malakoff en fête', which transform the city into a vast festive space open to all.
Three days of concerts and activities
From Friday, June 20 to Sunday, June 22, 2025, Malakoff offered a dense and varied program:
- Outdoor concerts on several stages in the city
- Dance shows and choreographic demonstrations
- Participatory workshops for children and families
- Community stands and neighborhood activities
- Grand African parade — one of the most anticipated highlights
The festivities unfold in several emblematic spaces of the city: Parc Léon-Salagnac, Stade Marcel-Cerdan, and the streets and squares of Malakoff's city center.
An eclectic musical program
The Fête de la Musique in Malakoff reflects the cultural diversity of the municipality. In 2025, the program featured:
- Sharing Vybz — dancehall demonstrations
- Louise — contemporary French chanson
- SABD — rap
- TSD Records — hip-hop
- Shynis — rap, ragga, dancehall
- Malty 2BZ — rap
- AML — local artist
This musical diversity — pop, rap, dancehall, soul, hip-hop — is a signature of the Malakoff program, which aims to reflect the multiplicity of tastes and cultures present in the municipality.
The Grand African Parade
One of the most spectacular and anticipated moments of 'Malakoff en fête' is the grand African parade. This colorful procession, animated by dancers, musicians, and costume designers in bright colors, crosses the city streets in an explosion of joy, rhythms, and colors. It is the most vibrant expression of Malakoff's cultural diversity and a moment of intense popular communion.
Malakoff, city of artistic creation
The Fête de la Musique is part of a dynamic cultural landscape in Malakoff. The city hosts the Espace Culturel Boris Vian, a venue for shows and concerts, and organizes ambitious cultural events throughout the year. The Marto festival, dedicated to world music, is another major musical event in Malakoff. The Fête de la Musique is the time when all this creative energy is unleashed into the streets, freely and for free.
