Fête de la Musique — edition 2026
Fête de la Musique 2026 in Toulouse — Sunday, June 21st
The Fête de la Musique returns to Toulouse on Sunday, June 21st, 2026, for the national celebration. All concerts are free and spread across the historic city center's squares, the banks of the Garonne, museums, venues, and outlying neighborhoods. The program kicks off at 11:00 AM and runs until 1:00 AM.
A day starting with classical music
The day begins gently at the Hôtel particulier Thomas de Montval, 22 Rue Croix-Baragnon, with the 'Classical Music for All' event featuring three sessions at 11:00 AM, 3:00 PM, and 4:30 PM. Meanwhile, the Musée des Augustins, 21 Rue de Metz, will host musical interludes from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, performed by students from the Music Department of the Université Toulouse-Jean-Jaurès: a concert themed around water, a program of 17th-century music, and a finale dedicated to Disney film soundtracks. At 3:00 PM, the Halle aux Grains, Place Dupuy, will welcome the Cap' Démos orchestra and its fifty musicians.
The Zénith joins the party
For the first time, the Zénith Toulouse Métropole, 11 Avenue Raymond-Badiou, is participating in the Fête de la Musique with an entirely free evening dedicated to the emerging music scene. Starting at 6:00 PM, an open-air event will take place on the terraces with Brenda & Trange, followed by performances from HYL, Clara Schulz, Raoul, telm@, and The Twin Souls. The night concludes with a party orchestrated by Matt Mendez until 1:00 AM.
Electro, brass bands, and percussion in the neighborhoods
Place de la Trinité will transform into a giant dancefloor for six hours, featuring a house, techno, and UK garage lineup with Amlee, Benyebe, Don Barbaras, HABB, Louizette B, and Persin Down. On Rue Alsace-Lorraine, the Samba Résille batucada will parade from 8:00 PM with over a hundred percussionists. In Montaudran, the Halle de La Machine and the Piste des Géants will host the Fanfarnaüm collective's brass band gathering all weekend, featuring around a hundred musicians. At the Halles de la Cartoucherie, Opus Musiques will showcase the regional scene with Csariiz (electropop), Mafia Matou (tropical, dub), and DJ Sébastien G. The Common Ground collective will take over the Dôme de La Grave, on the terraces of the ODOM restaurant and the Copola coffee shop, with DJ Gones and Phreak Monica.
The neighborhoods are also joining in: Place des Pradettes will be celebrating from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Place Arnaud-Bernard will host an open stage from 5:50 PM to 7:50 PM, and Place Ahmed-Chenane, in the Izards district, will welcome Léni and her 'trapolitique'. Place Saint-Pierre, Place Saint-Sernin, the Ramblas, Rue Labeda, Jardin Raymond VI, Espace JOB, the Écluse Électronique, the Grand Café du Stade, and Saint-Cyprien, animated by the Bel Air collective, complete the evening's map.

Fête de la Musique in Toulouse
Every June 21st, Toulouse joins in the Fête de la Musique, a nationwide free event created in 1982 by the Ministry of Culture at the initiative of Jack Lang and Maurice Fleuret, the then-director of music. The core principle remains unchanged since the beginning: music everywhere, concerts nowhere, and admission is always free.
An entire city turned into a stage
In Toulouse, the festivities are not limited to the historic center. The city's main squares, the banks of the Garonne, museums, municipal venues, covered markets, and neighborhood plazas all host dozens of simultaneous performances. The day usually begins with classical music and events for younger audiences, before local stages, electro collectives, and brass bands take over in the evening.
Every style represented
Rock, chanson, classical, jazz, electro, house, techno, rap, batucada, brass bands, traditional Occitan music, and world music: the Toulouse program covers the entire spectrum. A significant spotlight is placed on regional artists and emerging talent, often supported by the city's cultural collectives and associations.
An evening designed for pedestrians
The City of Toulouse reserves the city center and the Saint-Cyprien district for pedestrians and soft mobility during the festivities, allowing the public to move safely from one stage to another. Musicians are free to perform spontaneously in the street without prior authorization, provided they do not set up fixed structures, screens, or elaborate lighting.
