Free concerts in the streets of Saint-Gaudens for the Fête de la Musique
The Fête de la Musique in Saint-Gaudens is a free annual open-air event organized in the city center of Saint-Gaudens (Haute-Garonne, Occitanie). Several stages are set up in the streets, with a main stage at Place Nationale, hosting local bands and guest artists for free-access concerts.
The event is part of the national Fête de la Musique on June 21st, celebrated annually in France since 1982 on the occasion of the summer solstice.
Every year around June 21st, the city of Saint-Gaudens joins the national Fête de la Musique and transforms its historic center into an open-air stage. Several stages are deployed in the streets, on the squares, and notably at Place Nationale, which hosts the city's main stage.
Admission is free. The concerts are organized by the City of Saint-Gaudens, in partnership with local associations and collectives such as Cagire Events, which animates a nocturnal craft market at Place Nationale during the evening of June 21st.
Saint-Gaudens, sub-prefecture of Haute-Garonne and capital of Comminges, enjoys a summer atmosphere on this occasion. Bars, restaurants, and shops in the city center participate in the animation, and the event attracts visitors and residents from Comminges and all of Haute-Garonne.
The detailed program (artists, schedules, and stages) is published annually by the City of Saint-Gaudens as the event approaches, on the official website stgo.fr and via the municipality's social networks.
