The 2026 Fête de la Musique in Mulhouse will take place on Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 7:00 PM until midnight. 16 stages and around fifty artists will take over the city center for an evening of entirely free concerts: contemporary music at Place de la Réunion (DD Rey, Ladislava, NavyBlu, and a DJ set by Antoine LCD), rock on Rue des Maréchaux with Les Schnoutres, metal at the CCI parking lot, electro at the Cordiers parking lot, concert bands and jazz in the Cour des Chaînes, a Freiburg stage at Parc Salvator, and the Village d'été at the Illberg skatepark.

2026 Fête de la Musique in Mulhouse — Sunday, June 21

The Fête de la Musique returns to Mulhouse on Sunday, June 21, 2026. The entire city transforms into an open-air stage: 16 venues scattered throughout the city center will host around fifty artists from 7:00 PM to midnight, all free and open to the public.

A delayed start at 7:00 PM

With temperatures forecast to reach 38°C, the City of Mulhouse is maintaining the full program but has pushed the start time from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM to limit exposure during the hottest hours. No venues have been removed from the schedule. Additional streets will be closed to traffic to provide more comfortable space for pedestrians, and a municipal decree prohibits the consumption of alcohol in public areas starting at midnight.

Place de la Réunion — The contemporary music stage

The main stage at Place de la Réunion kicks off the evening with the blues-folk of DD Rey, followed by the Slavic electro of Ladislava and a series of Mulhouse rappers: NavyBlu, Ad El Mariachi, Maight Vision, and Leo. Antoine LCD will close out the night with a DJ set until midnight.

Rock, metal, jazz, and electro throughout the center

Rue des Maréchaux hosts the rock stage, featuring the Mulhouse duo Les Schnoutres, who blend French chanson with lighthearted punk, alongside Aourduo, Caustic, and Frankiz ar Feniks. The CCI parking lot is dedicated to metal, the Cordiers parking lot to electro, the Cour des Chaînes to concert bands and jazz, and Place de la Concorde to the discovery stage. Parc Salvator welcomes the Freiburg stage with acts from across the Rhine, while Square Steinbach hosts the firefighters' DJ set.

The Village d'été at the Illberg skatepark

The festivities extend beyond the city center to the Village d'été, located at the Illberg skatepark, featuring Chasing Time and Pachamama. Local merchants will round out the experience with their own concerts and DJ sets on their terraces.

Access and pricing

All concerts are free and open to the public, with no reservations required. Food and drinks will be available on-site. The full program is available at mulhouse.fr and mplusinfo.fr.

Over forty years of music in the streets of Mulhouse

Since the creation of the Fête de la Musique in France in 1982, Mulhouse has enthusiastically participated in this national celebration of the summer solstice. The 2025 edition marked the 43rd edition of this event, which transforms the city of Bollwerk into a vast open-air stage every year. The city, known for its cultural dynamism and vibrant music scene, makes this evening a highlight of its festive calendar, attracting thousands of Mulhouse residents and visitors to the streets of the city center.

Place de la Réunion: Main stage with Le Noumatrouff

The beating heart of Mulhouse's Fête de la Musique is located at Place de la Réunion, in front of the Temple Saint-Étienne. The main stage, managed by Le Noumatrouff—the city's emblematic contemporary music venue—hosts a curated program of contemporary music. In 2025, the audience enjoyed performances by Fancy Dolcy, the Belfort-based trio Caesaria, Exotica Lunatica, and La Tartine in a series of concerts from 8 PM to 1 AM. This stage sets the tone for the evening with emerging artists and quality regional bands.

Stages in every district

Beyond the Place de la Réunion, music takes over the entire city center. The parking lot of the Université Populaire hosts the most intense acts—Devhyom (death metal), Omen Haze (rock), and Selenic (progressive rock-metal)—starting at 7 PM. Squ'art, an alternative cultural space on Rue du Sauvage, features Ad El Mariachi and Narf from 6 PM. The café terraces at Porte Jeune, Rue du Sauvage, and Place de la Bourse become improvised stages where musicians of all styles perform spontaneously.

All music genres, all audiences

The strength of the Fête de la Musique in Mulhouse lies in the extraordinary diversity of styles represented. In a single evening, you can go from death metal to mariachi, from progressive rock to French chanson, from electro to jazz. This variety reflects the richness of the Mulhouse music scene and the open-mindedness of a multicultural city. The concerts are completely free, allowing everyone to wander freely from one stage to another, make discoveries, and be surprised by the music erupting on every street corner.

A unifying and popular event

Organized by the City of Mulhouse in partnership with Le Noumatrouff and local cultural associations, the Fête de la Musique is a moment of social cohesion and civic pride. The event brings together all generations and backgrounds in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere. Food trucks, refreshment stands, and terraces extend the celebration well beyond the concerts, making this June 21st evening an unmissable event of the Mulhouse summer.
