Around thirty free concerts at La Batterie and in the neighborhoods on June 20, 2026
In Guyancourt, the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival) is celebrated on Saturday, June 20, 2026, the last major event of the season before summer. From the Jardin de l'Ermitage to La Batterie and in several neighborhoods of the city, around thirty stages freely host choirs, harmonies, orchestras, jazz ensembles, and rock bands. Organized by Scènes 2 Guyancourt, the day is entirely free and open to everyone, amateurs and professionals alike.
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival) honors musicians of all levels, amateurs and professionals alike. In Guyancourt, it is the last major highlight of the cultural season before the summer program, celebrating the diversity of musical practices and genres.
The festival starts in the afternoon at the Jardin de l'Ermitage with the city's students and ensembles (children's choir, harmonies, piano class, batucada), then unfolds in the evening around La Batterie — in the parking lot, in the concert hall, at the auditorium, and in the rooms of the municipal school of music and dance (EMMD). Other stages animate the Espace Monod, Place du Marché, and Place Jacques Brel.
In total, around thirty concerts follow one another until late in the evening, in all styles: classical music, harmony, jazz, pop-rock, French song, and contemporary music. The sites are accessible to people with reduced mobility.
The 2026 Guyancourt Music Festival takes place on Saturday, June 20, free of charge from 3 PM to midnight. About thirty concerts enliven the Jardin de l'Ermitage, La Batterie, and several city districts, presented by Scènes 2 Guyancourt.
