About Fête de la Musique in Riom
Every June 21, Riom celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival): harmony groups, brass bands, music schools, and local groups freely take over the squares, churchyards, museums, and bars of the historic center. Organized by the City of Riom, the day is entirely free and blends all genres, from classical music to rock, from jazz to film scores.
The Fête de la Musique in Riom
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms Riom's judicial city into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces, from late afternoon until the heart of the evening, in all genres and for all audiences, at the foot of the historic center's monuments.
A festival throughout the historic center
The Riom edition relies on the city's vibrant forces: the Harmonie de Riom (Riom Harmony Orchestra), local music schools, brass bands, and numerous local groups. About ten bars and restaurants, as well as the Art school, join the celebration to offer open-air concerts and open stages, from the forecourt of Saint-Amable church to the Mandet museum, passing through the squares and gardens of the center.

The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Riom will take place on Sunday, June 21st, free of charge throughout the historic center. The Harmonie de Riom, music schools, bandas, and about ten bars will animate the squares, forecourts, and the Mandet museum, from late afternoon until the heart of the evening.

Overview of the stages announced for the 2026 edition in the historic center:
Parvis Saint-Amable, Jardin de la Sainte-Chapelle and Place du 8 Mai — from 6:30 PM
The Harmonie de Riom opens the evening in the heart of the historic center, between the forecourt of Saint-Amable church, the Jardin de la Sainte-Chapelle, and the Place du 8 Mai.
Post Office Forecourt — 7 PM
Concert by the Banda Combronde on the post office forecourt.
Mandet Museum — 6:30 PM to 9 PM
Film music, classical, and jazz performed by the Ennezat music school, within the Mandet museum.
Bar BHV 2.1 — from 8:30 PM
Concert by the group J'y vois pas beau.
Bar Les Tanneries — 5:30 PM, 7:30 PM and 9 PM
Three concerts in the evening, notably featuring the group Sans Transition.
About ten bars and restaurants in the city center, as well as the Art school, complete this program with concerts and open stages throughout the day.
