Every June 21st, Troyes celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival): amateur musicians, local bands, and guest artists perform for free in the streets, squares, and bars of the historic center. Organized by the City of Troyes, the evening is entirely free and usually takes over several stages in the city center, from Place de l'Hôtel de Ville to the Saint-Rémy district.

As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Troyes into an open-air stage every June 21st. Music freely takes over public spaces, from early evening until the heart of the night, in all styles and for all audiences, amidst the half-timbered houses of the historic center.
