The Saint-Amour Festival, the festival of love at Lake Vassiviere
Every August 9th, Auphelle beach in Peyrat-le-Chateau hosts the Fete de la Saint-Amour, which has become a must-see and emblematic event of the Vassiviere region. Throughout the day, from noon to midnight, activities follow one another around the theme of love in a festive and family-friendly atmosphere.
An activity program for everyone
The market offers artisanal products and local goods, while visitors can enjoy traditional wooden games, face painting for children, street performances, sports and water activities on the lake, and musical entertainment throughout the day. The highlight of the festival is the grand fireworks display over the lake at dusk, offering a spectacular show.
A popular and family event
With nearly 18 editions, the Fete de la Saint-Amour has established itself as a major festive gathering on Lake Vassiviere. The event celebrates love in all its forms and brings together locals and vacationers in a spirit of conviviality and sharing.

The 19th edition of the Fete de la Saint-Amour will be held on August 9, 2026, on Auphelle beach at Lake Vassiviere. The program of activities will be announced during the summer.
